Outstanding Commitment To Teaching Award Recipients
Program Description
Four faculty members are selected. for the Outstanding Commitment to Teaching
Awards each year. The awards are based. on the teachers' commitment to teaching
and the impact he or she has on students through the teaching and learning
process.
All full-time faculty members are eligible. Nominations are accepted from alumni,
faculty and students. Nominations are also requested from student organization's
. deans, department heads and University administrators.
The selection committee is composed of two alumni appointed by the NAA. President,
two faculty members and three students.
The recipients are recognized at the fall faculty meeting and the NAA hosts
a reception honoring the recipients and their families. A plaque with a cash
stipend are provided to each recipient.

Nominations
Nominations for OCTA are now being accepted by the
University of Alabama's Alumni Association. A nomination form is
available at the NAA office on campus or by calling Robin Elmore
at 348-1545. The deadline for submitting a completed nomination
packet is March 1.
